Jaipur/Jodhpur (Rajasthan) January 22 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot virtually laid the foundation stone of Meghwal Women's Hostel at Jhalamand in Jodhpur district from his residence in Jaipur.The CM also announced Rs 5 lakh from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for the hostel and assured to provide financial support through CSR fund. He called upon the people of the society to extend their cooperation in this noble cause.Addressing the event, the Chief Minister said that the state government is working with commitment to provide quality education to the students in the state. In the last three years, many decisions have been taken in the field of education, which have also seen positive results. It is our endeavour that boys and girls get better opportunities to progress through education.The Chief Minister expressed that the State Government has made better arrangements for the study and accommodation of boys and girls in a free and peaceful environment. Due to the availability of free accommodation, food and other facilities, they are able to pursue their studies without any hindrance.About 775 hostels of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and Most Backward Classes are being operated in the state and more than 36,000 students are benefiting from these.
