Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Jan 04 (ANI): Ahead of the Pongal festival, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on January 04 started the Pongal gifts hampers distribution at Tamil Nadu Secretariat. The Pongal gift hampers included 20 items including raw rice, jaggery, cashew nuts, dry grapes, cardamom, moong dal, ghee etc. Pongal gift hampers would be given to 2.15 crore ration card holders through the Public Distribution System. The government plans the distribution in a phased manner with time slots due to the Omicron situation.
