Delhi Police arrest MLM Ponzi scheme scamster

New Delhi, Dec 25 (ANI): Economic Offences Wing of Delhi Police has arrested one accused Manish kumar for inducing and cheating the women victims in connivance with other co-accused persons.The case was registered on the complaint of one victim woman and others, who have alleged that Manish kumar and others induced them on the pretext of paying a higher rate of interest on a monthly basis and persuaded them to invest in Multi-Level Marketing schemes. They used to pay regular returns for a few months. After some time the accused neither paid the interest nor returned the invested amount.The accused has siphoned off more than Rs 2 crores from these women.Accused Manish Kumar and his associates were involved in running committees in Rohini area where they targeted only ladies especially housewives, who easily succumbed to their promises of higher return.
