Nagpur (Maharashtra), Dec 22 (ANI): To counter ongoing protests across the country, a massive rally was organised in support of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Maharashtra's Nagpur on December 22. The rally was organised by Lok Adhikar Manch, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and other organisations. The rally began from Yashwant Stadium in Nagpur. President Ram Nath Kovind gave his assent to the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) on December 13 which will give Indian citizenship to non-Muslim immigrants who faced persecution in three neighbouring countries – Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
