PM Modi recalls peace gesture by all stakeholders post Ayodhya verdict in 2010

Oct 27, 2019

New Delhi, Oct 27 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Diwali through his radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on October 27. On 58th episode of the program, PM Modi said, “In Sept 2010 when Allahabad HC gave its verdict on Ram Janmabhoomi, what was the situation? Different types of people came to the ground, different interest groups tried to exploit the situation to their own advantage, what all things were said then. With the intention to hog limelight, some outspoken people said irresponsible things. But it continued for only 5-10 days. But as soon as the decision came, the nation experienced a welcome change. One hand everything happened for 2 weeks to make the situation tense.” “But when decision came on Ram Janmbhoomi, government, political parties, civil societies, representatives of all communities, saints gave balanced statements and tried to reduce tension. When I recall that day, I feel happy that judiciary was respected and tension was not allowed,” he added.
