Male (Maldives), Jun 08 (ANI): Prime Minster Narendra Modi’s ongoing visit to the Maldives will focus on both nations trying to better bilateral relations and sports is something which is expected to boost the relationship between the two countries. India has offered to lay the infrastructure for cricket in the island nation, which has generously accepted it saying India’s support would mean a lot for them. “We received a lot of support from the Indian government in area of youth & sports. We had a successful meeting with BCCI and we expect they will help us develop cricket here. India's support would mean a lot to us,” said Ahmed Mahloof, Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, Maldives. Mahloof believed that India’s support could thrive cricket in Maldives like it did in Afghanistan, and his country is also expecting BCCI to adopt Maldives’s cricket board.
