UP: Inmates of Aligarh Jail exhibit skill by making wooden handicrafts

Aligarh (UP), April 02 (ANI): The Aligarh jail authorities launched a novel initiative for inmates to increase their confidence. With an aim to make income by enhancing skills and boosting their morale, Jail inmates started making wooden handicrafts inside the jail. The project started at a micro-level and the jail authorities provided the inmates with raw materials needed to make wood art. The prisoners made handicrafts including wooden pots, shells, Shivlings so far. The artworks of Jail inmates have also been displayed in various exhibitions and received appreciation from people.
