“Getting weapons from Pak via drones…” Gangster Atiq Ahmed’s links with Pak’s ISI, LeT exposed

Prayagraj (UP), April 14 (ANI): Hours after gangster Atiq Ahmed’s son Asad was killed in police encounter, police chargsheet has made startling revelations. In his statements to the UP Police, Atiq has accepted his links with ISI and terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba. He revealed that he “doesn’t have any shortage of weapons as he brings them from Pakistan”. Atiq even said that he can take the police to the locations from where these weapons are brought to India. “I don’t have any shortage of weapons as I have links with Pakistan’s ISI and terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba. Weapons are dropped from Pakistan through drones. Local connections collect them and these weapons are also provided to militants in Kashmir. If you can take me, then I can make you recover the money and weapon,” Atiq Ahmed said in his statement to UP police. Prayagraj Chief Judicial Magistrate Court has sent Atiq and his brother to four-day police custody. On April 13, Atiq’s son Asad and his aide Ghulam were gunned down in a police encounter. They were on a run after the gruesome murder of lawyer Umesh Pal in Prayagraj. The STF team also recovered sophisticated-foreign made weapons from the deceased criminals. UP's Former DGP Vikram Singh has also raised concerns over Atiq's connections with ISI.
