Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh), Feb 17 (ANI): A 47-member NDRF team along with the dog squad returned to India after completing the Turkey rescue operation. India gained the respect and title of a ‘Dost’ from Turkey as the country did its best to aid the quake-ravaged nation. Turkey and Syria were left crippled after a series of deadly earthquakes that hit the countries on February 06. Stepping up to express its support, India had sent 7 aircraft with specialised teams to Turkey under the ‘Operation Dost’. Narrating about the horror that the team members witnessed, the NDRF officers briefed on the operation and their experience. The teams also had a huge help from the dog squad that was part of the rescue mission undergoing in Turkey. The death toll in Turkey and Syria surpassed the 43,000 mark, as per Reuters.
