Delhi police conduct mock drill to prepare for terror attacks

New Delhi, December 28(ANI): In view of upcoming Republic Day and New Year celebrations, Delhi Police conducted a mock drill in Burari area of north district. The objective of the drill was to check and evaluate the preparedness of the agencies in responding to terrorist strikes and hostage situations at public places. Some important aspects to organize this drill were multi agency coordination, weapon training, response of the agencies to the PCR and swift communication to deal with the situation. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police of north district, Dr. Rashmi Sharma Yadav reviewed the drill. During this mock drill, a PCR call was made impromptu and many agencies including fire tenders, Bomb Detection Team, crime team and the staff of the SWAT units joined hands to get ready to thwart threats.
