Timely rainfall boosts Walnut crop production in Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 16 (ANI): Timely rainfall has increased the crop production of high-quality walnuts in Kashmir. With hopes of a better turnover than last year, the valley's farmers are harvesting big quantities of walnut fruit. Because this year's walnuts crop was far better than last year's due to favourable weather conditions, particularly timely rainfall. This year's timely rainfall had a positive effect on walnut trees, producing a crop of such high quality that growers expect good returns. In terms of economic importance, the horticulture industry has its own significance, and millions of people earn a living from this revenue-generating industry. So, for the past month, growers have been very busy harvesting various fruit crops, including tasty walnut crops, and customers, including tourists, have been purchasing this tasty and crispy Kashmir dry fruit variety. Budgam, Kupwara, Ganderbal, Anantnag, and a few places on the outskirts of Srinagar are among the districts where the majority of people are involved in the walnut crop. Kashmiri walnuts are well-known for their superior quality and taste, which is why they are in high demand throughout the regional markets. Kashmiri walnuts are in high demand throughout the country and abroad, and tourists always prefer to purchase large quantities of Kashmiri walnuts.
