Srinagar, Aug 11 (ANI): School girls participated in the cleaning drive at one of the famous Mughal gardens namely Nishat and Shalimar Bagh in Srinagar. It was organised in collaboration with the Department of Floriculture and Education Department. The purpose of the drive was to educate students about the importance of these heritage gardens which play a vital role in attracting visitors every year. During this drive, a number of girls from various schools participated with full of spirits following proper COVID protocol. They collected trash and other waste from different spots of garden. Kashmir valley has a number of Mughal gardens but Nishat and Shalimar which are located on the banks of Dal Lake attract everyone. So that’s why, for the preservation of these heritage gardens, government and non-government organisations are always doing different activities to restore the gardens. School girls demanded that such type of initiatives should continue in future to maintain the glory of these historical gardens.
