New Delhi, Sep 08 (ANI): In a record-breaking move, the US Mission in India has issued the highest-ever number of student visas in 2022. A whopping number of 82,000 student visas have been issued, making India the country to receive more US student visas than any other country in the world. In order to ensure fast work so that more Indian students can get the visas without delay, the US Embassy and the four Consulates in India started the process of the visa application from May and prioritised them until August. “We are happy to see so many students were able to receive visas and reach their universities after the delays caused in previous years by the COVID-19 pandemic. We issued over 82,000 student visas this summer alone, more than in any previous year. This shows that the United States remains for most Indian families the most sought-after country for higher education. It also highlights the important contributions Indian students make to both our countries as they build life-long connections with American peers to maintain and grow international partnerships, working collectively to address current and future global challenges,” said Charge d’Affaires Patricia Lacina. Keeping in mind the safety protocols and measures amid the Pandemic, the US was open to the international students and welcomed them in the country. 20 per cent of all the international students studding in the US are Indians, according to a report. Education USA India App is available on iOS and Android devices for free for...
