Birmingham (UK), August 7 (ANI): Indian boxer Nitu Ghanghas beat Demie-Jade Resztan of England in the final of the women’s 48kg division to win her maiden gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham on August 07. This is India’s first boxing gold at Commonwealth Games 2022. She said, “I am very happy, my country's flag is waving at the top, it fills me with pride. I knew I wanted to keep my opponent in control in each round. Would dedicate the medal to my country, my coaches and my family.”
