12 prisoners lodged in Agra Central Jail passed Board examinations

Agra (UP), June 22 (ANI): 12 prisoners lodged at Central Jail of Agra passed the 10th and 12th Board examinations. The results for Class 10th and Class 12th UP board exams were declared by Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) on June 18. “There are about 12 such prisoners in the Central Jail, Agra, who have given 10th and 12th examinations and all the prisoners have passed. There are also some educated prisoners who teach other prisoners. Prison administration also provides all the books to him,” said VK Singh, Senior Superintendent of Central Jail, Agra. “In class 10th, 3 prisoners grabbed first division rank, 6 got second division. In class 12th, all three prisoners have got second division,” he added. “I got motivated to study after the film ‘Dasvi’ was shot in the jail where a prisoner cleared board exams. It is a moment of happiness for us to pass the exam behind the bars. This will motivate other prisoners as well,” said Jitendra Singh, a prisoner who passed the exam.
