Srinagar (J&K) June 24 (ANI): Department of Tourism organised a capacity building program for shikara and houseboat owners of Dal Lake that aimed to spread the message across the world that JandK is safe for tourists and administration is ready and welcome the foot fall in the UT. "We have started a capacity building program for shikara and houseboat operators, these lovely shikaras are ready to welcome tourists. We will guide these operators on COVID protocols, a set of SOPs will be provided to them," Secretary of Tourism Department of Jammu and Kashmir told ANI.During second wave of coronavirus, the tourism industry of JandK suffered financially but situation is improving now. Shikara and houseboat owners have received vaccine jabs to stay safe.
