POCSO and cases related to women priority for Delhi’s Forensic Science Laboratory

New Delhi, June 23 (ANI): The safety of women and children is always a priority for the police and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) plays an important role in the crimes committed against women and children to serve justice. The Forensic Science Laboratory, Delhi investigates cases against POCSO and women on a priority basis, with DNA and other evidence, so that criminals can be punished at the earliest.“It is a very sensitive subject that crimes against children are happening in our society. Many heinous crimes are taking place like sex crimes. POCSO cases are being registered. This is condemnable. Cases of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) and crime against women are priority for the Forensic Science Laboratory, Delhi. In every division, we have constituted a separate team to deal with the cases of POCSO, which disposes off cases in prescribed time limit on top most priority,” said Deepa Verma, Director, FSL, Delhi.
