गुजरात खेल उत्कृष्टता के नए युग में प्रवेश कर रहा है। मुख्यमंत्री भूपेंद्र पटेल के तीन साल पूरे होने के अवसर पर राज्य ने विश्व-स्तरीय खेल अवसंरचना विकसित करने के प्रयास तेज़ किए हैं। 2030 कॉमनवेल्थ गेम्स और 2036 ओलंपिक की तैयारियों के लिए ₹1,100 करोड़ की योजना बनाई गई है। अहमदाबाद में 11 नए स्पोर्ट्स कॉम्प्लेक्स और 8 आधुनिक जिम लगभग तैयार हैं, जबकि 22 ज़िलों में 24 ज़िला स्पोर्ट्स कॉम्प्लेक्स बनाए जा रहे हैं। नारणपुरा स्पोर्ट्स कॉम्प्लेक्स गुजरात का सबसे बड़ा हब बनने जा रहा है। राज्य ने 26 खेल मैदान अपग्रेड किए और 7 नए टेनिस कोर्ट बनाए। 2022 के नेशनल गेम्स और वेटलिफ्टिंग चैंपियनशिप की सफल मेज़बानी ने राज्य की क्षमता साबित की। ये पहल युवा प्रतिभा संवर्धन और खेलों को बढ़ावा देने में महत्वपूर्ण हैं।
