Anantnag(J&K), June 21 (ANI): International Yoga Day was celebrated at Martand Sun Temple at Mattan in Anantnag of South Kashmir. Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar also participated besides scores of youths and government officials. Many boys and girls enjoyed the session very keenly as after a long time this session was held for the first time in Martand Sun Temple of Anantnag. Government officials, Jawans of Paramilitary forces and students participated in this event. The locals were happy to participate in this International Yoga event. This year three heritage sites of Jammu and Kashmir were chosen among 75 prominent heritage spots for International Yoga Day. These included Suchetgarh in RS Pura Sector along the International Border with Pakistan in Jammu, historic Dal Lake in Srinagar and Martand Sun Temple in Anantnag. Earlier, LG Manoj Sinha also participated in the International Yoga Day celebrations at SKICC on the banks of Dal Lake in Srinagar.
