Awareness camp related to PM-JAY SEHAT Scheme organised in Srinagar

Srinagar, June 17 (ANI): To ensure that all the citizens of the Srinagar district are covered under the PM-JAY SEHAT Scheme, the District Administration in collaboration with the Medical Department of Srinagar organised an awareness and registration camp at Nehru Park on the banks of Dal Lake in Srinagar. It was organised so that Shikarawalas could be registered under this centre scheme. The government launched the PM-JAY SEHAT scheme to provide free universal health insurance coverage up to Rs 5 lakhs per family on a floater basis in conjunction with the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY). “The Shikarawalas of Dal Lake are mostly from low-income families, which is why the government is taking this step to ensure that they, too, benefit from this scheme,” said Dr Gurmeet Singh, District Coordinator.
