People resist against resolution for interim provincial status to Gilgit Baltistan

Gilgit, May 18, 2021: - Political activists, lawyers and intellectuals in Gilgit Baltistan are raising their voice against an illegitimate resolution passed in the assembly for interim provincial status to the illegally occupied territory. A protest was held recently outside the Gilgit Press Club by members of various local political parties. They are opposing the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government in Gilgit for demanding seat allocation in the National Assembly, Senate and representation in federal institutions. The resolution demanding interim provisional status for the region was moved by Gilgit Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid Khan.
