At the Karakoram International University, the teachers and other staff members are on a strike due to non-payment of their salaries. Their anger mounted high when they celebrated the Eid-ul-Azha festival without any money in hand. The Karakoram National University is facing a severe budgetary deficit and is not able to disburse salaries to the staff members.
