Jaipur (Rajasthan) September 05 (ANI): In order to overcome the employment crisis in urban areas, the Government of Rajasthan is going to start the Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme. Under this scheme, 100 days of guaranteed employment will be provided to the beneficiary family. This scheme will be launched on 9th September in all the districts of the state. Under this, all the members of the job card holder family in the age group of 18 to 60 years will be eligible. In this scheme, registration is done through an Aadhaar card. Families who do not have an Aadhaar card can also apply for Aadhaar through E-Mitra Kendra or Municipal Service Center and register with its number. Recently, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot reviewed the Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme is being started by the State Government with a budget of Rs 800 crores. This will provide relief to the unemployed in urban areas by providing them employment. Chief Minister Gehlot said that on September 9 this scheme will be launched by the ministers in charge of all the districts. So far, more than 2 lakh families in urban areas have registered under the scheme. Priority will be given to sanitation-related works under this scheme. Urban bodies doing excellent work under the scheme will also be rewarded by the state government.
