Jaipur (Rajasthan) May 18 (ANI): In a review meeting of the Energy Department, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot directed the Generation Corporation to increase the production and smoothen the operation of the power generation units established in the state. The Chief Minister said that the State Government is committed to the cheap and uninterrupted power supply in the State. Due to efficient power management, despite the scorching heat, relief is being provided to the common man by minimising power cuts. During the meeting, the Chief Minister expressed concern over the additional burden on the common consumer due to imported coal. He said that keeping in view the power requirements of the state, coal should be made available as per the requirement under the agreement. He urged the central government to remove the requirement of purchasing imported coal. Discussing the time-bound disposal of pending complaints, the CM also directed the officers to immediately redress the complaints received through the Sampark portal, toll-free helpline and various mediums.
