Sonamarg (J&K), April 09 (ANI): With construction in full swing at the Zojila Tunnel, India is all set to get Asia’s longest tunnel by 2026. The 14.5 km long tunnel, will connect Jammu and Kashmir to Ladakh after considerable reduction of distance between the both. Not only the trip between both Union Territories will become much safer, but will also be more economical as the reduced distance will help save more fuel. With easy route being a cherry on top over the already existing scenic beauty of the UTs, tourism will boost further post the tunnel’s handover to the public. Counting its advantages, Engineer Sanjay Sarma and Head Project Harpal Singh assured that the tunnel will be ready by 2026.
